ONLINE ZOOM CLASS: "DAHLIAS" Watercolor with Anne Abgott This class will be a compositional challenge! Using both photographs, and either “all“ or portions of each photo. I challenge you to come up with a compelling painting. You might think about moving the largest size Dahlia to the top, or maybe reversing it? Or leave it where it is and add portions of the back Dahlia views and leaves? It’s your choice -- make it your own. The point of this class is to help you think outside the photo! Please make a black and white copy of the photos for your values. Have the drawing done ahead of the class on the paper of your choice and size. I will be working 11x14 or smaller on 300 lb paper. Have all your paints handy along with round and flat brushes, a lifting tool or scrubber brush. No masking please. I will be sending a masking guide ahead of the class. The essential pigments are as follows. Two pigments essential to making the gorgeous peach color are the Naples yellow by Holbein and the Quin red by Sennelier. Naples yellow by Holbein Gamboge Aureolin or any cool yellow Permanent Rose Quin Red by Sennelier Translucent Orange Brown madder Mineral Violet Quin magenta Sap Green Verditer Blue Holbein Cobalt Blue Russian Green or deep sap by Daniel Smith

Class cancelations for a full refund may be requested up to 5 days prior to the scheduled start time of your selected class. You may reschedule to a different class until 24 hours prior to the class you are canceling.
