LIVE CLASS AT VILLA SERENA: "DOVES" Watercolor w/ Anne Abgott Let's transform a dreary brown photo to a colorful, exciting, compelling work of art. I spotted the doves on a statue in a park in Spain. I am providing extra photos of the birds to encourage you to make your own composition. In this class we will especially focus on texture -- a big element in this painting. Please make a black and white copy of the photo for your values . Come with the image drawn on the paper ahead of the class on the paper and size of your choice. I will be working on 11x14 size or smaller on 300 lb paper. Have any texturizing tool available, such as toothbrush, sponges, mesh splatter ... anything that works best for you. Please no masking. Have all your paints handy along with round and flat brushes, and a lifting brush or scrubber. The essential pigments for this painting are as follows. Small amount mixed with water in lidded jar.
