Service Description

Deconstruction to Reconstruction: Using a “partition exercise”, we will create several studies for an abstract painting using multiple media (mostly acrylics), combined with mark making, collage and textural effects. We will use Ampersand Gesso Board for the final project-lots of fun to work on! As a newcomer to Florida in 2017, she renewed her interest in art and picked up a paint brush following a long hiatus, inspired by the contemporary art scene in Sarasota and a trip to Santa Fe. “My artwork is about visual exploration and experimentation; an assemblage of color, texture, and line work. I’m drawn to the mystery of abstract art, its ever changing nature and the freedom of expression it permits.” Elise is an active contributor to local art shows and has received several awards from ArtCenter Manatee and Art Center Sarasota. She is an instructor at ArtCenter Manatee. Please visit her website at: elisemanieriart.com **Note: During payment process, to bypass Paypal, click on “Try another way”.
