Service Description

In this two-day workshop you will learn techniques that help you to make your own unique marks as a surprise element in your watercolor work. You will build upon the mark-making process through negative painting techniques, color mixing, and design elements. You will play with these ideas, along with the many personal discoveries, insights and possibilities that emerge as you work with transparent and opaque watercolor paints, gouache, and several mark-making tools. This workshop nourishes and engages your intuitive creativity so that your voice will be heard. Teresa's goal in this workshop is to help you develop and cultivate the fullness of your talent as a watercolor artist. Demos, group discussion and constructive critiques, along with painting time, are all part of this exceptional workshop. NOTE: A supply list and preparatory notes from the artist and the venue will be sent to your email in advance of this workshop. Each day's session runs from 9am to 4pm, giving you over 6 hours of hands-on instruction with Teresa in each day's session. A 30-minute lunch break is included. Students should bring a snack or sandwich for lunch. Tea, water and coffee are provided by the Villa Serena Carriage House Studio. ABOUT TERESA KIRK Teresa Kirk teaches privately, at the Boca Raton Museum Art School, and at Art Serve. Teresa loves to share her passion for water media and her delight in experimentation in that medium. As a workshop instructor and demo artist, Teresa leads her students individually and collectively to open their minds to their own creative journey. Teresa Kirk is an award-winning artist who holds signature memberships with the Florida Watercolor Society, Kansas Watercolor Society, and Southern Watercolor Society. She is a Platinum Signature Member of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society. Teresa has served on the Boards of the Florida Watercolor Society and Gold Coast Watercolors Society as president and in other prestigious positions. Class cancellations for a full refund may be requested up to 5 days prior to the scheduled start time of your selected class. You may reschedule to a different class until 24 hours prior to the class you are canceling.
