Service Description

In this workshop you will create a unique necklace with exceptionally beautiful, authentic African beads using your innate creative skills and design esthetic . As you create your necklace you will learn the history behind these beads, so not only will you take home your own finished piece of jewelry, you will know where each bead originated, how it was made, and some background about the bead makers themselves. Judy Levine is a highly-regarded bead artist who is skilled at teaching the techniques of beading. She is adept at sharing her years of design skill, and instilling confidence and creative freedom in her students -- you will have fun and enjoy the company of your fellow students as you all create your unique piece of beautiful jewelry. This workshop is excellent for most age groups including young teens and adults. * Note that parents must accompany minors who wish to take this class. * ALL SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED There will be many colors, types, and sizes of beads for you to design with. We have an outstanding collection of authentic African beads donated for this workshop by GHANAECOTOURS.COM ABOUT THE ARTIST Judy Levine teaches art courses at the University of South Florida in Sarasota and owns Phoenix Art Workshops, a business providing art talks and workshops. She coordinates artists in residence programs in the schools, specializing in integrating the arts into the curriculum.

Class cancellations for a full refund may be requested up to 5 days prior to the scheduled start time of your selected class. You may reschedule to a different class until 24 hours prior to the class you are canceling.
