The Villa Serena Inn in association with our partner GHANAECOTOURS.COM (Elmina Slave Castle, Ghana West Africa) Is Announcing A Timely, New Program At The Villa: African Bead Design  This workshop will focus on a necklace design using beautiful, authentic African beads. Discover the history behind these beads and take home your own finished piece of jewelry. Under Judy Levine's instruction, you will learn techniques and design skills needed to complete this fun and wearable project. Great for most age groups including young teens and adults. *** Parents must accompany minors. ALL SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED! There will be many colors, types, and sizes of beads for you to design with. Beads have been donated by GhanaEcoTours.com. Meet Judy Levine Creativity • Fabricator Judy teaches art courses at the University of South Florida in Sarasota and owns Phoenix Art Workshops, a business providing art talks and workshops. She coordinates artists in residence programs in the schools, specializing in integrating the arts into the curriculum. Bio Judith Levine attended Rutgers and Fairleigh Dickinson Universities and earned a B.A. in art and art education. She earned an M.A. in Visual Arts from Montclair State University, New Jersey where she was on the art education faculty. She was an art educator and district art supervisor in Parsippany, N.J. and was awarded Art Educator of the Year locally and statewide. She was Coordinator of Teacher Professional Development at Liberty Science Center, Jersey City, N.J. Judith planned the workshops, engaged the presenters and initiated a lecture series on Cutting Edge Science. Judith also wrote and presented science and arts integrated programming over video conferencing technology. Judith was the recipient of several grants to travel, study, and photograph the art of Tibet, West Africa, Egypt and Indonesia. **Note: During payment process, to bypass Paypal, click on “Try another way”.
